This traditional Savoyard residence was built and subsequently modernised by three generations of the Baud family to offer the perfect combination of authentic alpine charm, modernity and convenience. Whether you are looking for a weekend away with mates or a perfect family retreat for a week we are sure that you will enjoy this cosy alpine hideaway that sits just to the North of Morzine town centre and at a convenient distance for the bars and shops.
The entrance to the chalet is at street level and just 50 m from the bus stop connecting you to the cable cars of Super Morzine or Pleney every few minutes. Whilst the ground floor of the chalet has a ski room with heated racks in order to ensure that your boots will be warm and dry the next morning all other facilities, including the five peaceful bedrooms, can be found on the first and second floors high above the road. Your Chalet Host will most likely be hard at work in the detached kitchen when you arrive back from conquering the mountains, ensuring that your peace is not disturbed as you tuck in to the delicious homemade cake.
The living space is conveniently split in Chalet Chez Claude and caters for all tastes. Whilst some people will naturally head for the sauna, others may prefer to read or chat around the beautiful new log burning stove in the living room, or to catch a movie upstairs in the mezzanine TV lounge. A large flat-screen TV and UK satellite channels ensure that you can still catch Match of the Day or your favourite soaps! On a nice afternoon there is nothing better than a cold beer from our honesty bar whilst taking in the views from the South and East facing balconies. The wonderful vista includes not only the local ski fields but also the snowsure slopes above our sister resort of Avoriaz, the spectacular Pointe de Nyon, and the jagged peaks of Switzerland that seem close enough to reach out and touch.
If our filling 4 course dinners don’t act like a giant sleeping pill the town centre is an easy 10 minute flat walk from Chez Claude and the closest bar is just a couple of minutes away! Don’t forget though, the lifts open at 9am and fresh powder waits for no-one!
