2020/21 Money Back Promise
Last winter many March and April holidays were cancelled through no fault of ours or our guests, and several people were frustrated at being let down by their travel insurance. We too are angered by the poor performance of insurance companies throughout this challenging time and have therefore moved to cut them out of the loop!
We understand that you may be nervous about booking a holiday with the shadow of Covid-19 still lurking over us all! Thanks in no small part to the helpful property owners with whom we work we have been able to put a system in place that will avoid you losing your money if the worst happens.
Wherever you see the symbol the property in question is covered by our money back promise and we will not ask you to claim on your travel insurance. If we are not able to provide the holiday that you have booked for Coronavirus related reasons* you will be given the choice of a credit note, valid for the following two winters (with a 5% bonus to cover any price increases), or a refund within 7 days, minus a small administration fee**.
The Small Print!
* When we say a cancellation for ‘Coronavirus related reasons’ we mean circumstances whereby we have had to cancel your stay with us following a direct order to close our doors (as was the case in March 2020). We will also offer the same refund and credit note options if you are not allowed to travel due to FCO advice, if you are legally prevented from arriving in France, or if quarantine rules require you to either isolate upon arrival in France or for more than 5 days after returning to the home country of the party leader.
Should you have a change of heart or personal circumstances that prevent you or any of your party from travelling (including someone testing positive for Covid-19 or needing to isolate) you will still need to make a claim on your travel insurance. You should book insurance on the same day as booking your holiday in order to benefit from the cancellation cover of your chosen policy.
** We will only refund monies paid to Host Savoie and cannot offer compensation for any other holiday elements such as flights. The administration fee is £25 per person and this will help us to with costs that we are unable to recover such as bank fees, card processing
